Professional Experience

Assistant Director, School of Art and Design, Southern Illinois University Carbondale

Professor, Communication Design, School of Art and Design, Southern Illinois University Carbondale
Professor Zivkovich teaches in the Communication Design program in the School of Art and Design. Her experiences as designer, curator and art administrator were developed after establishing the Craft Shop facility and permanent art collection in the Student Center on the SIUC campus.
Currently, Professor Zivkovich serves as the Assistant Director at the School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Her research and consulting design activities are focused on environmental graphic design, illustration and exhibition design. Recent projects have included several revitalization projects in rural communities. Professor Zivkovich is an active exhibiting artist. Her work has been widely exhibited throughout the Midwest, nationally and internationally, The Compônere Gallery in St. Louis has represented her work since 1992. Her work is part of several collections, most recent the Plain Art Museum in Fargo and Pedu Morset Folkenoyskole, Belbustrand, Norway. She is co-founder and Director of the Clay Cup, a national competition and exhibition held at the University Museum biennially.
